This week we have a huge fixture in the EPCR Challenge Cup against Perpignan. With that in mind, here is this week's Stat Attack.
This will be the first meeting between Ospreys and Perpignan since the pool stages of the 2008/2009 Investec Champions Cup, when the sides met twice, with the home team on the day winning on both occasions and each of those matches being decided by margins of fewer than seven points.
Ospreys have won each of their last two home matches in EPCR competitions but have not won more in a row since a run of six between November 2015 and January 2017.
The set piece has been a standout area for us in the EPCR Challenge Cup this year. We are the only team to have won 100% of our own lineouts in this season’s EPCR Challenge Cup (37/37) and one of seven teams to have won 100% of their own scrums in the competition this term (8/8).
We are also the only team to have made 300+ carries in this season’s EPCR Challenge Cup (306) and also have the third highest carry dominance rate of any team in the competition this term.
Dewi has been a standout performer for us this year in the EPCR Challenge Cup. He is the top try scorer this season and has also made more carries than any other player in the competition this term.
