Ospreys vs Vodacom Bulls: Ones to Watch

The Ospreys play host to South African powerhouse, the Vodacom Bulls this week. It’s going to be a physical encounter against a side littered with Springbok stardust with plenty of players to watch. Here’s a couple below.

Canan Moodie

Moodie is one of the most exciting players in World Rugby. Equally adept at wing or centre, the Springbok spark is lightning quick and capable of producing something out of nothing.

Moodie is quickly becoming more comfortable in the 13 jersey, putting in a top performance against Ulster last weekend and also featuring in South Africa’s warm-up win over the All Blacks last year.

Willie Le Roux

Despite being 35, Le Roux is showing very little sign of letting up in his senior rugby years. The double world cup winner coined the nickname Maijavane from Siya Kolisi, which translates to the one who is always dancing.

In 2014, the utility back was nominated amongst the World Players of the Year, and has gone on to make 96 appearances at international level. Age is simply a number when it comes to Le Roux, who can still have a powerful influence on any game.

Elrigh Louw

Another Springbok, Elrigh Louw is one of the most destructive carriers in the BKT URC. Despite his impact in attack, Louw does not ignore his defensive duties and is able to stop opposition ball carriers in their tracks through his heavy hitting style.

On top of the above, Louw is a menace at the breakdown. Don’t be surprised if his name is mentioned multiple times by the commentators at the weekend.

One thing's for certain, it's set to be a physical clash at the Swansea.com Stadium this Saturday. Get your tickets now.
