The Ospreys West Under 16's ran in 9 tries in a 14 try thriller at St Helens.
It's been a mixed season for the Ospreys West Under 16'swith two wins to their four losses but they impressed in the penultimate game of the season, running in an incredible 9 tries.
It was their visitors the Dragons South who got the scoring underway however with an unconverted try after just two minutes. The young Ospreys were just as keen to play attacking rugby and were on the scoreboard themselves five minutes later through a Josh Thomas try that went unconverted.
Another five minutes passed and the home side took the lead as Ben Cambriani raced over the try line. Josh Thomas this time successfully adding the conversion.
As the game entered the second quarter, hooker Cameron Lewis broke through the Dragons back line, raced 60m past three defenders to get the Ospreys try number three. Thomas missing the conversion but redeeming himself with a successful kick two minutes later after Sean Collins raced over for another Ospreys West try.
Despite trailing by 19, the Dragons weren't letting themselves drop out of the game and 8 minutes before half time they added their own unconverted try. That was not to be the end of the scoring however as despite the Ospreys West going down to 14 men after Joe Bright Key was yellow carded, they scored try number five, Collins with his second of the evening.

Their one man deficit didn't slow the Ospreys West Under 16's down as they started the second half, just three minutes had been played when Alex Wilson raced over to get himself on the score sheet.
The Dragons South secured try number three soon after but there was just no stopping the home side as replacement Lewis Edwards slid over with 46 minutes played. Thomas kicking the conversion to extend their lead.
There was mixed fortunes for the Dragons with quarter of an hour left to play. They scored a converted try, their 4th of the game, but then saw a themselves two men down when Rio Dyer and Harry Oliver were yellow carded within minutes of each other.
The Ospreys took advantage of their overlap. Replacements Kingsley Morgans and Llyr Gealy getting tries eight and nine respectively before Thomas brought the game to a close with a successful conversion.
