Ahead of the 2019/20 RAG season Ospreys West U16s Head Coach Nick White has named his squad to take part in the competition
The Ospreys West U16s 30 mansquad to take part in the 2019/20 Regional Age Grade Championship has today been named, with players selected following in the footsteps of the likes of Keelan Giles and Will Jones, who also started their Ospreys careers in the team.
The team start their campaign by traveling to Hartpury this weekend to take part in preseason round robin tournament with Gloucester and the Scarlets, before taking part in a festival in Newport on August 21st. The RAG season will then start for the boys on August 28th against the Dragons.
Head Coach Nick White remarked on the squad:
“The boys have worked incredibly hard since the squad announcement for the first block, back in early July. Their commitment to our training schedule and S&C programme has been really impressive and we’re really looking forward to being able to showcase that hard work this weekend in Hartpury.
“What’s really impressed me
about this group is their attitude, it’s great to see boys from different
schools, clubs and Dewar Shield teams come together and really buy into the
environment, work hard and push each other in every session. It’s also really
nice to be able to travel to Hartpury on Sunday to take on Gloucester, an
unfamiliar opponent and we’re expecting them to be a strong outfit so it’ll be
a good test for us.”
