A tough weekend for the Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby team at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium saw them test themselves against strong opposition throughout the day.
First game for the Ospreys was against Stoke Mandeville Maulers. The Maulers were strong, fast and took over the game leaving Ospreys with a losing score of 4 – 20.
Next up the Ospreys faced Leicester Tigers. The game started off fast and Ospreys knew they were up against several of the best fast paced opponents. Despite a hard fought effort from the Ospreys, the Tigers came away with the 9 -29 win.
Ospreys faced the Saints in the third match of the day. Testing the Ospreys defence, the Saints took control to win the game 10-22.
In their final game of the day Ospreys took on the Hawks in what is always a hard game. Giving their everything to the match, the Hawks proved too much to come away with the 7-17 victory.
A challenging weekend for the side whilst being a few players down, but a valuable experience for the team.
