Ospreys Women are looking to round off their season with some silverware on Sunday, when they face RGC Women at Sardis Road, in a bid to be crowned WRU Women’s Regional Champions.
Currently sitting top of the table, a win for the Ospreys Women’s senior side would see them crowned champions, but RGC are hot on their tails in second place, leaving Sunday’s game with it all to play for for both teams
The Ospreys have clocked up some impressive performances over the season and remain unbeaten going into the final round.
In the opening weekend back in October, the Ospreys fought off defending champions Scarlets women in their own backyard, with a last minute score to steal the victory at 22-24.
In the next round, the Ospreys with home advantage at St Helen’s ran in an outstanding 11 tries against the Dragons for their second win with the scores finishing 61-10.
Despite losing 15 players to international duty in January, the Ospreys showed great strength in depth when they faced the Blues women at Pontypridd. A solid performance from the pack saw them pick up their third successive win of the competition with the final score sitting 10-22.
The U18s will also be in action against RGC. The young squad currently sit third in the table, and despite not being in the hunt for silverware, the squad will look to finish their season on a high after some superb performances throughout the year.
Both sides will travel to Sardis Road this Sunday with the U18s kicking off at 1pm and the senior squad at 5pm, and here’s how they line up:

Speaking ahead of the game, Ospreys Women head coach Alyn Lake said: “We are excited to be facing a strong RGC team for the first time in our history. To be involved in a championship game after a long season is pleasing and a testimony of the hard work the whole squad has put in.
“Our plan was to give an opportunity to as many players as possible during this process and even this weekend we could see new players wearing the shirt for the first time. We want to put in a good performance and hopefully we can come away with the win and the championship.”
