2019 sees not just one but two #OspreysChallenge weekends! Ospreys Challenge Wales returns to Bridgend this April before the brand new Ospreys Challenge England hits Grimsby in May!
After the success of the inaugural Ospreys Challenge held in
Bridgend last year, 2019 sees two weekends of rugby action held by Ospreys in
the Community and official event partners miTour.
Ospreys Challenge Wales will return to Bridgend on the weekend
of the 26th – 29th April for U7 – U16s teams. Accommodated
at Parkdean Resorts Trecco Bay (U7’s – U12’s, older teams will be based at
local hotels), arrival for teams will be Friday evening before two full days of
rugby action.
While teams
above U12’s will compete for trophies in the Cup and Bowl Competition, all
the teams that take part will receive Ospreys medals, awarded to them by the
Ospreys players themselves, in team presentation ceremonies.
It’s open to both local and touring teams and last year saw more
than 1,500 people attending and over 60 teams from Wales, England and Ireland
taking part.
Perhaps your team would like their end of season tour a little
further afield? Well allow us to introduce #OspreysChallenge England! This fun-filled
rugby weekend gives both touring teams and local Lincolnshire teams of U7s to
U13s an opportunity to take on sides they never normally would.
As well as a fantastic few days of rugby and on-field fun
with thrilling games and displays of great sportsmanship, there will be plenty
to do off the pitch too. The festival also provides onsite catering and
refreshments, entertainment, a fun zone and the chance to meet Ozzie the Osprey
and Ospreys players.
The tournament will be held from Friday 3rd May to Monday 6th May, with the playing days taking place on the 4th and 5th of May in Grimsby RFC. Accommodated in a holiday park in Skegness, arrival for teams will be Friday evening before two full days of rugby action.
There are a number of pricing
options available to your group for both tournaments and miTours can tailor a
quote to meet your specific requirements whether you are a touring or local
side. For travelling teams, prices typically include:

two/three night's hotel accommodation
