OitC and official event partners miTour are getting on the road to Lincolnshire in 2019 to host an #OspreysChallenge in England
Ospreys in theCommunity and official event partners miTour are taking the show on the road, with not one but two rugby festivals in 2019. In addition to #OspreysChallengeWales, held in Bridgend next April, we’ll also be bringing you an action packed rugby tournament, #OspreysChallengeEngland, in Lincolnshire in May.
This fun-filled rugby weekend gives both touring teams and local Lincolnshire teams of U7s to U13s an opportunity to take on sides they never normally would. As well as a fantastic few days of rugby and on-field fun with thrilling games and displays of great sportsmanship, there will be plenty to do off the pitch too. The festival also provides onsite catering and refreshments, entertainment, a fun zone and the chance to meet Ozzie the Osprey and Ospreys players.
The tournament will be held from Friday 3rd May to Monday 6th May, with the playing days taking place on the 4th and 5th of May in Grimsby RFC. Accommodated in a holiday park in Skegness, arrival for teams will be Friday evening before two full days of rugby action.
After the pool stages on Saturday, on Sunday it’s Finals Day where your team will take part in knockout matches to see who the winner of the Ospreys Challenge is. This is the perfect end of season finale, so make sure you book early to be part of the action!
All teams that participate in the Challenge will receive Ospreys medals, awarded to them by the Ospreys players, in team presentation ceremonies.
Prices for the festival vary with different miTour packages available to cater for your group’s specific requirements, whether you are a touring or local side. For travelling teams, prices typically include:
· Three night’s holiday village accommodation or two/three night’s hotel accommodation
· Return coach shuttle on Saturday and Sunday
· Team entry into the #OspreysChallenge
· Entertainment pass (in holiday park accommodation)
Coach travel from your local club can also be arranged if needed.
