The Ospreys announced today that Sam Cross had joined Newcastle Falcons.
Before making his debut for the Ospreys, Crossy was a member of Great Britain Sevens’ silver medal-winning squad at the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro.
His debut for the Ospreys came against the Saracens in Heineken in 2017 and has made 68 appearances for the team in total.
Shortly after, Crossy made his debut for Wales against Australia, picking up another appearance against Georgia in the following Autumn International game.
Speaking on his move, Cross said:
“I’ve had a great time at the Ospreys, given the opportunities, experiences and camaraderie that I’ve enjoyed here.
“My decision to join Newcastle stems from an instinct to challenge myself in new contexts and environments.
“To the Ospreys fans, players and back room staff I extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ for the support I’ve received during my time at the team.”
