The Ospreys region today confirmed that two outstanding Scarlets players had
signed three year deals with the region
Wales internationals, full back Lee Byrne and centre/ wing Tal Selley have
committed themselves to Ospreys Rugby until the end of the 2008/ 2009 season
Byrne is 25 years old, stands at 1.9m and weighs 95kgs and Selly is 26 years
old, stands at 1.82m and weighs 91kgs
Comment on Lee Byrne from Head Coach, Lyn Jones:
"Lee has developed over the course of the least season into a fully fledged
international calibre player and we are delighted that he has chosen to get
on board with the Ospreys. He played a prominent role in the six nations
with Wales and is a full back of some considerable stature who will I am
sure fit in well at the region. I am delighted that we have signed another
top quality international who originally hails from within the Ospreys
region"
Comment on Tal Selley from Regional Rugby Manager, Derwyn Jones:
"Tal is a player who hasnt figured regularly for the Scarlets this season but
I am confident that we will see the best of him over the next few years.
He is a quality Rugby player who has genuine pace and we are all looking
forward to seeing him line up within what is already an exciting Ospreys
back line"
