Commenting on the move, Nikki Walker said:
"My time in the Borders has been great and I have been fortunate to be involved with a lot of very good players and excellent coaches. I am excited and thoroughly looking forward to a new challenge at the Ospreys. They have a squad littered with International players and will, I am sure, be a force to be reckoned with next season once they get their long list of injured players back on the field of play"
"The current Reivers set up is going from strength to strength but I need to make a move at this stage of my career as I want to push as hard as possible for a place in the Scotland squad for next years World Cup. I think playing in a new and challenging environment will give me that opportunity."
Comment from Head Coach Lyn Jones added:
"Nikki has been a real thorn in our side this year when he has played against us for the Borders. He will bring another dimension to our attack as he is a big, strong and powerful man who has no shortage of skill. He will be an excellent acquisition to our squad and will create genuine competition within the back three"
