We are pleased to announce that season ticket renewals have surpassed all our expectations despite these only going on sale last Tuesday/Wednesday.
The indications are that we will exceed numbers for last season which in turn will move us towards our goal of increasing average gate attendances. We have had one or two calls from season ticket holders who last year occupied the south stand, querying the decision to relocate to the East.
We strongly urge all of last years season ticket holders who are interested in renewing to make that booking as soon as possible. For those being relocated from the South to the East we have set aside reserved areas, but again we strongly urge those people to make the booking now.
We have also had one or two people querying the rationale not to release new season tickets in the West Stand. On the Stadium plan on the application form,we have shown that no categories are for sale however we have in the actual table provided sections for current season ticket holders to complete for their renewals. In the event that not all current season ticket holders renew we will have seats available in the West Stand to sell, however this will not be known until after the 24th July as indicated on the literature.
Although the West Stand may not always have appeared to be at full capacity last season, in meeting our contractual obligations to European Cup Ltd (organisers of the Heineken Cup competition) we have to set aside a percentage of seats for each of the European Cup matches for their usage. Therefore these seats cannot form part of the season ticket package. In the event that the ERC do not take up that allocation for a particular match, as indeed happened on occasions last season, then we will obviously sell those tickets for the match in question.
