Shane Williams has today officially launched his testimonial website - www.shanewilliamstestimonial.com The Ospreys, Wales and Lions winger was granted a testimonial earlier this year for services to rugby in the region, and the new website will be the place to find out all about the player, his long and successful career and what events are coming up as part of the celebrations. Events already confirmed for the year include a Golf Day at the Vale of Glamorgan, a number of Q & A sessions at rugby clubs throughout the region, a special fun weekend at Amman United (the club where Shane first played rugby), and celebration dinners at the Liberty Stadium and the Cafe Royal in London. There will also be a special Testimonial Fixture at the Liberty Stadium over the August Bank Holiday weekend, where the Ospreys will take on a top side to be confirmed.
Speaking about the launch of the website, Shane said:
"I'm delighted to be able to launch the new website, which will have all the information anyone will ever need about my testimonial year. It will be updated throughout the year as events are confirmed and will have plenty of pictures and information about my career so far. It's a tremendous honour to be the first Ospreys player to receive a testimonial, and I'm keen to ensure that there is something for everybody on the calendar. Hopefully, I'll be able to confirm some exciting events shortly, so it's a case of watch this space!"
