PREMIERSHIP RUGBY can today confirm that the final of the 2016-17 Anglo-Welsh Cup will be played at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday 19 March.
The tournament which pits the 12 Aviva Premiership Rugby sides against the four Welsh Regions returns after a one-year absence, kicking off this weekend.
For the Ospreys, their first action in the competition this season comes next weekend when they welcome Harlequins to St Helens in Swansea on Friday 11th November.
The teams have been drawn in four pools with the sides in Pool 1 playing the sides in Pool 4 and the teams in Pool 2 playing the teams in Pool 3 over four weekends.

“The Anglo-Welsh Cup has a crucial place in the rugby calendar and we are delighted to see it back this season,” said Phil Winstanley Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby.
“Many supporters will get the first glimpse of some of the stars of tomorrow, together with players who have already made their debuts playing more senior roles in the quest for Anglo-Welsh Cup silverware.”
This year the number of Anglo-Welsh Cup matches shown live on TV will increase significantly with BT Sport taking over the exclusive live coverage of the tournament, broadcasting two matches this weekend. Their outstanding coverage will be complimented by an Anglo-Welsh Cup highlights show on ITV Sport.
