Sign up now for a week long Ospreys experience
Teenage rugby players in Ospreylia are being handed the chance to enjoy a week-long Ospreys experience like never before as part of the new Ospreys Summer School.A five-day course being run in conjunction with Swansea University, the Summer School was launched in 2012 and is returning to Ospreylia this July due to popular demand.
Participants on the course will enjoy five days of first class coaching from Ospreys development staff, with rugby sessions covering the whole range of skills and tactical areas.
The summer school is open to 14-18 year boys and girls of all abilities, all you need is a genuine passion for rugby.
In addition to that, the busy daily schedule will see a wide range of related topics covered such as nutrition, sports psychology and analysis while tuition will also be provided on safe and correct conditioning methods, allowing those taking part to take away from the course real knowledge that will enable them to become better rugby players.
It’s not just the Ospreys culture that they’ll be immersing themselves in though, as participants will be rubbing shoulders with likeminded teenage rugby players from across the continent who are traveling to Ospreylia for the Summer School.
Lunch on each of the five days is also included, as well as the opportunity to participate in evening activities with our overseas visitors.
The Ospreys team will also hold a full training session at the University Playing Fields during the week where the attendees will have the opportunity to meet players and coaching staff, while there will also be a visit to the Liberty Stadium for a guided tour. All participants will receive a special ‘Player Pack’, including official Ospreys/Kooga training kit and personal items, with a retail value of £100.
Yarnie Guthrie, Ospreys Commercial Manager, said:
