Ospreys supporters can now buy their match tickets while doing their weekly shop thanks to a new deal that will see tickets for all home games go on sale at Tesco stores across the region from Monday.
Tesco and the Ospreys have enjoyed a successful commercial relationship for a number of years, with merchandise on sale at Tesco stores throughout Ospreylia.
Now, thanks to this new initiative which is supported by Music Wales, buying Ospreys tickets has been made easier than ever, giving supporters instant access to match tickets at their local store without having to visit the Liberty Stadium.
Tickets for next weekend’s Heineken Cup clash against Castres (Friday 13th December, KO 8.00pm) will go on sale at five stores in the region on Monday, with tickets for the New Year derby clash against the Scarlets being made available later in the week before tickets for all home games between now and the end of the season arrive in-store shortly.
Ospreys Commercial Manager, Yarnie Guthrie, said that the new initiative was an important step in making first class rugby more accessible to all communities:
“Thanks to our excellent relationship with Tesco, purchasing tickets to watch the Ospreys has never been easier. Many of our supporters will never visit the Liberty Stadium other than on matchdays, or may not have access to our online purchasing system, so making tickets available at their local Tesco opens up a new and convenient way of buying tickets.
“It’s crucial that we are always looking at new ways of growing our support base, encouraging more people to support their region, and this initiative allows us to reach even more members of the community than ever. What could be easier than picking up tickets for the big game while filling your trolley with the weekly shop?”
Ospreys tickets will be available to purchase from the following stores:
Tesco Extra Bridgend
Tesco Extra Fforestfach
Tesco Extra Llansamlet
Tesco Neath Abbey
Tesco Swansea Marina
