Speaking ahead of their final game, Elite Development manager Dan Griffiths said:
“I know players and coaches will be disappointed with two narrow defeats, but to see the players learn and progress in training and carry elements of that into the team performance has been really positive. The players have shown an excellent appetite to learn and get better.
“The regional games have been a step up in the level of competition, which has then enabled the coaches to develop a good understanding of the qualities of the players involved and how they contribute to the team. Hopefully we can finish off the season with a good performance, and get the result that some of the effort and endeavour has deserved.”
