Speaking ahead of the game, head coach David Jones said:
"We are coming into the game off two wins and much improved performances so the mood in training has been very positive. The coaching group feel we were able to pick our strongest available 23 for the first time this season.
“This is a very important game for the players individually as they are all looking to progress to the combined Ospreys regional U16s and it's no different for the players from the Ospreys East. These end of season inter regional games are usually very tight and often of a very high standard as the players are now much more experienced at this level. I'm sure both squads are looking forward to it"

Speaking ahead of the game, head coach Colin Beaton said:
“The players are looking forward to the game v the West as this is their last chance to put their name forward for the combined side. We know the West will also be looking to get as many players as possible in the combined side so the game will be hotly contested.
“We were a bit disappointed after the defeat to the Blues North last Sunday, after speaking to the players they are all keen to move forward and finish on a high. The players have identified certain areas where we need to improve, which as a coach is great it shows a maturity and how much the group have developed as a team.”
