Gareth Anscombe is out of Rugby World Cup contention after sustaining an Anterior Cruciate ligament injury in the match against England yesterday.
Gareth’s prognosis and management with be determined following furtherspecialist reviews.
Allen Clarke commented:
“Ultimately our thoughts are with Gareth - we’re absolutely devastated he has suffered the injury. It’s every players dream to play in a World Cup and it’s incredibly disappointing for him to be missing out on the opportunity.
“It’s now about supporting Gareth in whatever way we can, we’ll work with the WRU to do everything we can to aid in his recovery.”
